What we build

Two ways to cover a car. Both built on the same steel.

Every frame is hot-dip galvanised and set in concrete footings sized for your ground. What changes is the cover — and that choice comes down to whether you need to stop the sun or stop the rain.

Our most affordable option

Shade Net Carports

Knitted high-density polyethylene cloth, UV-stabilised and rated to block up to 95% of direct sunlight, tensioned across a galvanised steel frame set in concrete footings. Because the weave breathes, hot air escapes instead of collecting underneath — the space under a shade net stays noticeably cooler than under a solid roof on a still afternoon.

  • Blocks up to 95% of direct sun and effectively all UV
  • Breathable weave lets heat escape instead of trapping it
  • Lightest structure, so fewer footings and a faster install
  • The most affordable option per parking bay
  • Cloth can be re-tensioned or replaced without touching the frame
Best for
Homes and offices where sun and heat are the problem and the car does not need to stay dry.
Sizes
Single bay through to 20+ bay commercial car parks
Higher upfront cost, full weather cover

Polycarbonate Carports

UV-coated polycarbonate sheeting fixed to a galvanised steel frame with sealed, purpose-made fasteners and a fall calculated for our rainfall. It sheds a downpour completely while still passing diffused daylight, so the area underneath stays usable and bright rather than turning into a dark box. Considerably tougher than glass or acrylic, and it will not shatter.

  • Complete protection from rain as well as sun
  • Passes diffused daylight — no dark cave underneath
  • UV-coated on the weather face to resist yellowing
  • Impact resistant and will not shatter
  • Available in clear, opal and bronze tints
Best for
Anywhere the car, the entrance or the walkway needs to stay dry through the rainy season.
Sizes
Single bay through to covered walkways and entrance canopies
Choosing between them

Shade net or polycarbonate?

The short version: if the problem is heat and glare, shade net wins on cost and stays cooler underneath. If the car needs to be dry, only polycarbonate will do. Here is the whole picture, including where the cheaper option is genuinely the better one.

Upfront cost

Shade net
Lower — the most affordable cover per bay
Polycarbonate
Higher — more material and a heavier frame

Rain protection

Shade net
None. Water passes straight through the weave
Polycarbonate
Complete. Sheds a full downpour

Sun and UV

Shade net
Blocks up to 95% of direct sun
Polycarbonate
Blocks effectively all UV, passes daylight

Heat underneath

Shade net
Coolest — the weave lets hot air escape
Polycarbonate
Warmer on still days, as heat collects under the sheet

Dust and falling debris

Shade net
Fine dust and sap still get through
Polycarbonate
Keeps the car clean underneath

Lifespan of the cover

Shade net
8–12 years before the cloth needs replacing
Polycarbonate
15–20 years with the UV coating intact

Frame lifespan

Shade net
Hot-dip galvanised steel, decades either way
Polycarbonate
Hot-dip galvanised steel, decades either way

Installation time

Shade net
Typically one day for a standard double bay
Polycarbonate
Typically two days for a standard double bay

Noise in heavy rain

Shade net
Silent — nothing to drum on
Polycarbonate
Audible drumming during a downpour

Marks the option that wins on that row.

About us

A workshop, a welding team, and a fairly boring obsession with getting it level

We have been fabricating and installing carports in Ghana for over five years. Everything is cut, welded and galvanised in our own workshop to the measurements taken at your site, so the time we spend on your compound stays short and tidy.

  • We do our own installs

No subcontracted crews. The people who survey your site are the people who put the structure up, which is why the measurements match the finished job.

  • The quote is the price

Every quote is fixed and in writing, covering materials, fabrication, footings, labour and clean-up. If we missed something, that is our cost, not yours.

  • Built for this climate

Hot-dip galvanised frames and UV-stabilised covers, specified for the harmattan and the rains rather than for a catalogue photographed somewhere cooler.

How it works

Four steps, and you know the timing of each one

No vague promises about when we might turn up. Here is the sequence, and roughly how long each part takes.

  1. 01

    Free site survey

We come to you, measure the space, check the ground conditions and talk through how you actually use the area. No charge and no obligation.

Within 48 hours of your enquiry

  2. 02

    Fixed written quote

A drawing and an itemised price covering materials, fabrication, footings, labour and clean-up. The number you sign is the number you pay.

    2–3 days after the survey

  3. 03

    Fabrication

Your frame is cut, welded and hot-dip galvanised in our workshop to the surveyed measurements, so site work stays short and tidy.

    1–2 weeks depending on size

  4. 04

    Installation & handover

Footings go in, the frame is set and levelled, the cover is tensioned or sheeted, and we clear the site. You get your warranty documents on the day.

    1–2 days on site

Questions

The things people ask before they commit

Not seeing yours? Send it over on WhatsApp — you will get a straight answer, not a sales call.

Ask a question
  • How much does a carport cost?

It depends on the span, the number of bays and the ground you are building on, so we do not publish a single figure. Shade net is consistently the more affordable option; polycarbonate costs more because there is more material and the frame carries more load. The site survey and the written quote are both free, and the quote is fixed — the price you sign is the price you pay.

  • How long does installation take?

A standard double bay is typically one day on site for shade net and two days for polycarbonate. Before that, fabrication takes one to two weeks depending on the size of the structure. Larger commercial car parks are phased so you never lose access to the whole area at once.

  • Will it survive the harmattan winds and the rainy season?

Yes. Frames are hot-dip galvanised steel set in concrete footings sized for the structure and the ground conditions found during the survey. Shade cloth is tensioned so it does not flap and fatigue, and polycarbonate is fixed with sealed, purpose-made fasteners at a fall calculated for our rainfall rather than a generic pitch.

  • Do I need permission from anyone before you build?

For a carport within your own compound, usually not. Estates and gated communities often have their own rules on height, colour and setback, and some commercial sites need approval from the local assembly. We will tell you what applies to your site during the survey rather than leaving you to find out afterwards.

  • What warranty do you give?

One year structural on the steel frame and the workmanship. Shade cloth and polycarbonate sheeting carry the manufacturer's own UV warranty, which is usually considerably longer — we hand all of it over in writing on the day of installation, along with care instructions.

  • Can you build over an existing driveway without tearing it up?

In most cases yes. We core the footings and make good around them, so the finish is neat and the rest of your paving or concrete is untouched. Where the existing surface is too thin or unstable to carry a footing, we will say so at the survey and price the remedial work openly.

  • Do you work outside Accra?

Yes. We install across Accra, Tema and Nungua as a matter of course, and we will travel further for larger commercial projects. Distance is priced into the quote up front so there are no travel surprises later.

  • Can the shade cloth be replaced when it wears out?

Yes, and this is one of the real advantages of shade net. After eight to twelve years the cloth can be re-tensioned or replaced entirely while the galvanised frame stays exactly where it is, which costs a fraction of a new structure.
